Once your wedding is over it is proper etiquette to send Thank You cards to your guests. Any gifts received for your engagement party or bridal shower should have thank you cards sent within 1 to 2 weeks. Gifts that are received before the wedding should be acknowledged immediately. Sometimes this isn’t possible with so much planning and organising before the big day, but these thank you’s should definitely be the first ones to go out and 1-5 days after they are received would be best.
When to Send Wedding Thank You’s
For your wedding gifts that you receive on or after your wedding, the thank you cards should be sent out within 2 to 4 weeks of returning home from your honeymoon and preferably within 3 months of your wedding if you are running behind schedule.
If you have a large number of wedding thank you cards to wriite, try writing a small amount of them each day for 10 days. That way, you’ll be able to send them all out within the proper time frame and it won’t be such a burden, like writing 100 thank you cards at once.
